Hazaad.com is a company that brings handwoven area rugs to your house, so that you try them out before buying. One never needs to enter a store.

In a sense, Hazaad.com is like a Netflix for the rug industry. One can make a 'rug viewing' appointment online at Hazaad.com. Then after a little chat with Hazaad.com's owner and rug expert about your preferences (he insists on being the one to talk to everyone) rugs that match your tastes arrive at your house, when you want them to.

Hazaad.com was once a strictly e-commerce company. “E-commerce was nice and easy for people. However, because of the tactile nature of rugs, it felt hollow” Hazaad.com's owner, John Geer, says. “We wanted to help people figure out what the rugs would look like in their homes. However, none of the methods that we came up with could beat the old fashion 'put it on the floor and look'. So we decided to let people put in on their floors and look.”

The details of what an rug brings to a room can change depending on the room, and even on the orientation of the rug inside the room. “Any colored object changes depending on it's setting. However, finely textured rugs can be especially unpredictable. Seeing them where they will be used helps to assure that they are just what you want. The fact that one can get a rug at home in less time and with less effort than if they went to a furniture store is just icing on the cake” John explains.
